Nintendo makes a big Announcement today by unveiling their latest project in the Pokémon franchise simply titled Pokémon GO. This new Pokémon game with be a mobile device exclusive which will allow players to catch Pokémon in real world areas. If this idea sounds familiar, it should be since Google made an April Fools day parody to this in 2014. The difference between this and googles humor is the fact that this time it’s a real game. Pokemon GO will be a free-to-play game for both IOS and Android. Players will be able to catch, trade, and battle in the real world by utilizing location information. Gameplay revolves around players exploring their neighborhoods, communities and the world they live in to discover Pokémon alongside friends and other players.
Nintendo has also shown off a new accessory which can be worn on the wrist. This Accessory called the “Pokémon GO Plus”, will allow players to catch Pokémon by pressing a button. The Pokémon GO Plus will also flash and vibrate when any events are happening nearby, such as when there are Pokémon to be caught. This device will connect to smart phones via Bluetooth.
Both Pokémon GO and Pokémon GO Plus are set to be released sometime next year.
